Penny Pincher Stocks Up on $1 Peanut Butter!

photo(4)Penny Pincher went to check out the MARTINS / GIANT: Peanut, Peanut Butter for FREE! deal.

Her local Martin’s didn’t have any jars with the peelie coupons, but she didn’t mind. Even without coupons, she only paid $1.00 per jar. She is such a great friend for picking up 10 jars for me to share with my family.

Is Giant a corporation that is connected to Stop & Shop? Both stores have the same symbol next to their name. If so, I could mention the deals and possibly get them. I haven’t had any luck contacting Stop & Shop. Customer Service doesn’t handle that type of question. Just the normal ones – returns, coupon policy etc. I want to thank you ahead of time for your help.

      Hi Liese,

Yes, they are affiliated. In 2004, Ahold integrated Stop & Shop Supermarkets with Giant Food LLC and created one combined company with the name of Stop & Shop/Giant-Landover.

I am not sure if they run the same sales, but we would love to hear/see any deals that you find. Thanks for the offer!

HI – I found out about the two stores Giant and Stop & Shop. Their sales are different and they will not do match-ups. Here in the Northeast the Stop & Shop store sales are even different from town to town and they will not match price them either. I received this information from the Manager from my local Stop & Shop store in Kensington, CT That’s the update.
